Scrape a Single Page
Teach your agent from one web page by adding its URL.
Before you begin
- The page is public (no login required).
- You have the full URL (for example: https://example.com/pricing).
What this does
Babelbeez fetches the content of the page and adds it to your agent’s knowledge. The agent can then use it to answer questions.
Steps
- Open your agent in the Babelbeez dashboard.
- Go to Train Voice Agent.
- Choose Single page.
- Paste the page URL (for example: https://example.com/pricing).
- Click Start.
- Wait a moment while we process the page. It will appear in your knowledge list when ready.
What you should see
- The new source appears in the list with its URL and summary.
- Status changes from “processing” to “ready.”
Tips
- Use pages that contain helpful text (FAQ, pricing, services, policies).
- If a page changes often, re-scrape it later to refresh the content.
- Keep URLs consistent (use https:// and avoid trailing spaces).
Troubleshooting
- Page failed to scrape
- Make sure the page is public and reachable in your browser.
- Try again later; some sites temporarily block automated access.
- Very large pages may take longer to process.
- Content looks outdated
- Re-scrape the page to refresh it.
FAQ
- Can I add multiple pages?
- Yes. Add each page URL separately, or use the “Crawl your website” option to discover many pages at once.
- Are PDFs supported here?
- For PDFs, use “Upload a PDF” instead of single page.
Next steps
- Add more pages that matter to your customers.
- Or run a site crawl to discover and ingest many pages automatically.
- Test your agent’s answers in Live preview.
